6 Fat Lies You Have Been Told About acne

From my research, lies about acne are some of the things hyped as major causes of acne. This article is meant to clear off such lies and confusions. Even though it might be advisable to stay off some things just to serve as a prevention, precaution and solution, that gives no room for wrong notions.

Expensive treatment:
This is one of the lies that flies around about acne treatment. The use of heavily medicated cleansers are not in anyway the solution to acne problems. Sometimes they aggravate the problems on ground. Care is very much needed in choosing the solutions that are available.

In some cases you might actually need to consult your dermatologist before deciding on which plan you wish to follow to solve your acne problems.

Chocolate and Oily foods:
There is no substantial evidence to prove the existence of this. It therefore remain vague. No doubt too much of chocolate can add the acne problem but chocolate solely is not in anyway responsible for acne. A well balanced diet is ok.

Stress:
This is not really true. Stress stimulates the body enzyme and immune system to cause a stimulation of the oil glands. This on its own has not been proven to cause acne in anyway.

Fried foods:
Excess fried foods cause us to gain weight. However, fried foods have not been proven to be cause acne. In fact, there are no specific foods that cause acne, including chocolate, but it is just advisable to avoid too much oily foods which can compound the problem.

Contagious:
No, acne is not contagious. Scratching can spread it to other parts of your body or face. Washing both hands and face on a regular basis and not picking at acne lesions will decrease the likelihood of new acne lesions developing.

Hygiene:
Hygiene plays a major role in solving your acne. Wash well, clean up your room, clothes and things that could spread acne. Do not try to burst or spread its lesions
Stop believing these lies. They can only compound your acne problems
